The Introductory level is for K-4th graders. Players will learn fundamental movement skills and build overall motor skills. The primary emphasis is on fostering a love for the game.
Two training sessions per week in basketball fundamentals will include group skill competitions and an introduction to team principles/concepts. We will play small-sided games (1-on-1, 2-on-2, etc) when appropriate, but avoid actual 5-on-5 competition until fundamentals are further developed.
Heavy emphasis will be place on the proper mechanics of shooting, passing, ballhandling.
